We like it when celebrities go off script and share their innermost thoughts because they’ve already achieved great things, and therefore, they know what it took to make their dreams come true.
To get to the point, here’s what Ashton had to say:
On Finding Opportunities…
Before becoming a millionaire celebrity, Ashton got his first job when he was only 13 years old. He then got a job washing dishes at a restaurant. Then he got a job working in a grocery store deli. Then he got a job sweeping floors in a factory.
It seems no task was below him and every job taught him something that lead him to him eventual success. Ashton said, “Opportunity looks a lot like hard work. I’ve never had a job in my life that I was better than. I was always just lucky to have a job. Every job I had was a stepping stone to the next job.”
It’s clear that every job you take can lead to new opportunities. And it seems that if you’re not willing to work hard at low level jobs, you’re unlikely to be offered the higher paying top jobs you really want.
On Being Sexy…
Ashton reckons, “The sexiest thing in the entire world is being really smart, thoughtful and generous. Everything else is c***!”
So forget make up, fake tan and unnecessarily expensive fashion trends. Instead, invest more of your energy in being smart, thoughtful and generous. You’ll get far more love and attention if you develop these traits.
On Living Your Life…
Ashton reminds us of the simple truth that, “Everything around us that we call life, was made up by people who are no smarter than you.”
Sometimes we idolise others and put them up on a pedestal, when really, they aren’t more special than you or anyone else.
You have unique and special talents that you can use to create a wonderful life. As Ashton says, “Build your own life, don’t just live one.”
